My first ever Contiki trip!

Finally! I have been on a Contiki trip :) Have been wanting to go on one for the longest time and boy am I glad I finally did so. I went on their Thai Island Hopper East tour covering the islands Koh Samui, Koh Tao and Koh Pah Ngan. I actually had no intention of going on this tour, but because Contiki is sending their intern for a famil trip, and mei mei asked me to join her, I just agreed and went with the flow with no plans whatsoever. I had wanted a break really badly when mei mei asked me, so it seems like a good idea to be relaxing on the sandy beaches of Thailand.

It was supposed to be a relaxing itinerary (according to the brochure), but I simply cannot recall one night with me sleeping before 2am. HAA! My group was small and intimate (there's only 19 of us) and most of us bonded over the next 9 days.

List of things I did?

~ Swim at the waterfalls (almost drowned but I made it alive!)
~ Rode on the top of a 4-wheel jeep
~ Rode on an elephant
~ Played soccer golf (really fun!)
~ Experience drinking from a cup made of ice at the ice bar
~ Partied a little
~ Went through an obstacle course with ziplines (really really fun!)
~ Snorkelled (and cut myself at many place while clinging onto the rocks)
~ Played pool
~ Drink, drink and drink (I believe my liver is damaged)

There's some things I missed out I think... Cannot really recall a lot of things anymore since they have already passed :S

Oh! I experienced total blackout for 2 nights in a row at Koh Pah Ngan because of heavy storm. The whole island just blacked out and there was no lights and no water! The only thing that worked was the toilet flush system -_________- I have never been so helpless in my life before because I simply cannot see well in the dark due to my night blindness. What I did manage to see though was 2 lizards bigger than the size of chameleons outside our room door, and their faces looked exactly like an alligator. I freaked out and screamed really loud. Luckily the power managed to come back on after a few hours.

Met many amazing friends (and some creeps) during the tour and they are what made my holiday experience all the more enjoyable =) If there is a chance, I would really like to go on a tour with them again...

Ok! Enough of words, here are the pics:

Lemons

Life have been handling me lemons recently and I find it very hard to make lemonades out of it. Why am I feeling even more lonely now than ever </3

Musings of the day

This morning I was going through my insta stories and saw Tony Gaskins (I love this guy) ask me a question session. It was so informative, and an eye opener to see so many people airing their relationship issues. It put a lot of things into perspective, especially seeing things from a 3rd party POV. Seeing what sort of advice all of them are seeking, the answer is already very glaring, but they are blinded by it and chose to ignore it. The same happened for me. The answer was glaring when I expressed my feelings a few months back, but I chose to hold on. Well, no more. When I finally opened my eyes and see things as what it is, I felt, free. Free from my own demons, own insecurities. And I felt ready to move on and focus on something else. What I have learnt is that true love never leaves you doubts and sadness. I have to learn to think for myself. On that note, I have decided to take a break from my DB team. Reason is very simple. It is a toxic relationship, one that limits my grow...

Don't follow blindly, create your own!

Let me be honest here. Ever since coming out on my own, I have been struggling with finding a routine that I can adhere to. I am constantly stressing out, thinking I am not doing enough as a wannabe entrepreneur.  I always read articles about top CEOs starting their day early, catching only 4-5 hours of sleep a day, planning their day ahead with a routine and sticking to the routine. They are always on the go, multi-tasking all the time. Over time, I've come to realise, that is not for me. Sticking to a routine made me stressed out over unnecessary things, made me frustrated thinking I am not doing enough.  The truth is, we are all different, and we work different. I like to procrastinate if I am given a long timeline. I like to be in a pressure cooker environment where I am swarmed with deadlines, and that is also when I perform best, with sudden spurts of energy to get things done. But once that energy is released, I need time to space out again. Yes I agree tha...
