Can you tolerate pain?

Witness a friend piercing her belly button today... I thought it would be a painful and bloody affair, but it turned out to be the total opposite! Ok lah, it's not painful cos I'm not the one getting pierced... Ahahahaha!

I remembered seeing on TV that belly button piercing will cause a lot of blood.. I think it's some TV commercial rallying people to donate blood. But after today, I realised that the TV commercial must have been using scare tactics -.-

So tempted to do it after seeing her pierce... but my tummy is not flat enough... Maybe I'll do it when my tummy is not so round XD And the entire process is so fast! I'm totally impressed.

The piercing place is also a tattoo shop, and it reminds me that I still wanna get my tattoo... something that signifies unity and equality among all people, which is close to my heart. I also wanna tattoo my dogs... but bestie say the tattoo will just look like 2 balls of fur so no point -.-

Oh! I wanna tattoo my wedding finger too if I were to get married in future. There's a reason behind it but yeah, that's what I've always wanted =D

Bangkok!

I'm finally going on a holiday this year! What a vast difference this year is compared to last year. I've become domesticated. HAHA. Wonder who can do that to me... well, only that one special person... Anyways, I'm going Bangkok with my DB peeps and I'm getting excited! It was an impromptu kinda holiday as Bangkok is not in my list of to go place. I had a bad experience the last time I was there and didn't get what the hype is about. But then again, it could probably be the companion I went with and the agenda the other time. It was more work then fun. I can't wait to get on that flight and fly away... hopefully I'll come back refreshed! xoxo, Mabel

That indescribable feeling

I was pondering to myself why people say that when you love someone, you couldn't give a reason why you love him/her. If you could give a reason, it just goes to show that you love those qualities in that person, not the person. In the past, I am a firm believer of the latter. That love has no reasons. When reflecting on my own relationship, I was thinking to myself whether is it really true. That love has no reasons. The romantic side of my thinks it's true, while the pragmatic side says otherwise. Here's what I have concluded. I love that my man is dependable, easy going, good natured, positive in attitude and outlook in life, stable. Basically the rock in my life (there's no need for any other rock, seriously). But hey... Lots of men possess the qualities stated above. But none is able to capture my heart like how he did. THAT is the reason I cannot find words to explain. THAT is why I am drawn to him and not any other guys that possesses the same qualities...

Musings of the day

This morning I was going through my insta stories and saw Tony Gaskins (I love this guy) ask me a question session. It was so informative, and an eye opener to see so many people airing their relationship issues. It put a lot of things into perspective, especially seeing things from a 3rd party POV. Seeing what sort of advice all of them are seeking, the answer is already very glaring, but they are blinded by it and chose to ignore it. The same happened for me. The answer was glaring when I expressed my feelings a few months back, but I chose to hold on. Well, no more. When I finally opened my eyes and see things as what it is, I felt, free. Free from my own demons, own insecurities. And I felt ready to move on and focus on something else. What I have learnt is that true love never leaves you doubts and sadness. I have to learn to think for myself. On that note, I have decided to take a break from my DB team. Reason is very simple. It is a toxic relationship, one that limits my grow...
