M.O.T.

Tomorrow is the day... The first dragonboat race of the year for me. I am still in disbelieve that I am into this sport, and that it has somehow managed to sow it's seed into my lifestyle. This is like the only thing among a million things where I kept saying I wanted to do, and I actually went about doing it. Heh.

This team has become like a 2nd family to me and I do care when I see things not going the way it should be. Like how I gave HY & TH a morning call 2 weeks ago just to ensure that they are not late AGAIN. Bad habit of theirs cos even after my morning call, they are still late -.- After a while, I couldn't be bothered liao, but hey, at least I tried right. Hahahaha. Guess I am just sick of hearing people grumbling about the late comers and yet nothing is done. Not happy? Do something about it then.

My team's not perfect, but then again neither am I. But I suppose 2 halves make 1 whole :)

Sunday has become a day where I look forward to instead of dreading :)

Bangkok!

I'm finally going on a holiday this year! What a vast difference this year is compared to last year. I've become domesticated. HAHA. Wonder who can do that to me... well, only that one special person... Anyways, I'm going Bangkok with my DB peeps and I'm getting excited! It was an impromptu kinda holiday as Bangkok is not in my list of to go place. I had a bad experience the last time I was there and didn't get what the hype is about. But then again, it could probably be the companion I went with and the agenda the other time. It was more work then fun. I can't wait to get on that flight and fly away... hopefully I'll come back refreshed! xoxo, Mabel

That indescribable feeling

I was pondering to myself why people say that when you love someone, you couldn't give a reason why you love him/her. If you could give a reason, it just goes to show that you love those qualities in that person, not the person. In the past, I am a firm believer of the latter. That love has no reasons. When reflecting on my own relationship, I was thinking to myself whether is it really true. That love has no reasons. The romantic side of my thinks it's true, while the pragmatic side says otherwise. Here's what I have concluded. I love that my man is dependable, easy going, good natured, positive in attitude and outlook in life, stable. Basically the rock in my life (there's no need for any other rock, seriously). But hey... Lots of men possess the qualities stated above. But none is able to capture my heart like how he did. THAT is the reason I cannot find words to explain. THAT is why I am drawn to him and not any other guys that possesses the same qualities...

15 Things You Should Give Up To Be Happy

[Quoted from http://www.purposefairy.com/ ] Here is a list of 15 things which, if you give up on them, will make your life a lot easier and much, much happier. We hold on to so many things that cause us a great deal of pain, stress and suffering – and instead of letting them all go, instead of allowing ourselves to be stress free and happy – we cling on to them. Not anymore. Starting today we will give up on all those things that no longer serve us, and we will embrace change. Ready? Here we go: 1. Give up your need to always be right. There are so many of us who can’t stand the idea of being wrong – wanting to always be right – even at the risk of ending great relationships or causing a great deal of stress and pain, for us and for others. It’s just not worth it. Whenever you feel the ‘urgent’ need to jump into a fight over who is right and who is wrong, ask yourself this question: “Would I rather be right, or would I rather be kind?” Wayne Dyer. What difference will that make?...
